Father Day Gifts the Men in Your Life Will Love

Father Day Gifts the Men in Your Life Will Love

Father’s Day is almost here! If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know I’m a daddy’s girl.

I’m so excited this year because my dad will be in Austin this Father’s Day so we will get a chance to celebrate with him in person this year. Although one day is not enough to celebrate the dads in our lives and thank them for all they’ve done for us, it is a nice place to start. Depending on the interest of the guys in your life and your budget, I’ve shared a few of my favorite gift ideas for this Father’s Day below.

Greatest Dad by Par Cookie Set, Dog Dad Coffee Mug, Sonos System, Best Grandpa Sign, Stag’s Leap Cabernet Sauvignon, Set of Knives, Tag Heur Golf Watch, Birddog’s, Chick-fil-a Gift Card, Yeti Rambler, Yeti Cooler Bag, Big Green Egg, Meat Thermometer, Mini Bluetooth Speakers, Jack Black Men’s Grooming Kit

Many of you probably know by now that the men in my life are golfers. Golfers are so hard to buy gifts for because they are so specific about their gear and I believe there is a limit to how many polo shirts and hats you can buy for one person. I love this golf inspired cookie set from Etsy and if you’re looking to splurge, I have it on good authority that this Tag Her golf watch is the next hot thing for golfers.

For the grilling and cooking dads, you can’t go wrong with a great set of knives, grilling tools or even a grill. Bluetooth speakers set the mood for a big day of cooking so if you want to save, check these speakers out and if you’re looking to splurge, check out this Sonos system. If your dad or hubby is a wine lover, a nice bottle is always a great gift.

If you’re shopping for a man on the go, Yeti Ramblers are a fabulous gift and also the Yeti Cooler Bag makes a great gift. Chick-fil-a gift cards are also a fun treat.

Will has also fully stepped into his life as a dog dad so we can’t forget to celebrate the fathers of our furry ones this year! I love this little mug because you can upload your pet’s pic to personalize the mug. Both of my grandfathers have passed so unfortunately I can’t celebrate with them this year, but I love this personalized handprint frame for the grandpas.

My Dad always told me that he only wanted a card for Father’s Day so however you choose to celebrate the dads in your life, don’t forget the cards! It’s the best way to say thank you for all they do and to express your love for them. Hope you all have a great Father’s Day!!

COVID-Friendly Holiday Presents on a Budget

COVID-Friendly Holiday Presents on a Budget

2020 has been a tough year for all of us. Record unemployment numbers and a volatile stock market have made finances hard for everyone. With the holidays coming up, you might be wondering how you will be able to show others around you that you care about them without breaking the bank.

Miniature Tate’s Chocolate Chip cookies are the perfect gift for your co-workers and neighbors this year. Not only are they delicious, but when bought in bulk, they come out to be $1 per bag on Amazon. In addition to being budget-friendly, these individually packaged goodies are also COVID-friendly. While baking is a lovely thing to do for your friends, I wouldn’t recommend it this year. Whether it’s a possible exposure to COVID or Salmonella in the eggs you use, you just don’t want to risk spreading illness through baking. So save yourself the hours of work in the kitchen and buy pre-packaged goodies this year.

Whether you’re on a budget or not, these crispy cookies make a wonderful treat that I know your acquaintances will enjoy. I love them because they are already packaged in adorable green bags so all you need to add is a red ribbon and a hand-written note to share your appreciation for the recipient and you’re all set!

Last year I gave mini Tate’s cookies to my co-workers as well as my husband’s and they were a hit so I figured I’d do the same thing this year. It took me about 20 minutes to cut the ribbons and tie the bows on each bag and in total, I spent less than $30 to create 24 gifts.

For a full video on how I assemble these treats, check out my instagram page. I hope you love this budget and COVID-friendly idea and let me know what your friends think about it!

Bluemercury Semi-Annual Sale!

Bluemercury Semi-Annual Sale!

If you thought Black Friday and Cyber Monday were fun, then prepare yourselves for the Bluemercury Semi-Annual sale! Bluemercury is my favorite destination for skin care because they carry all of the best brands and for the next few days you can get SkinCeuticals, Jo Malone and more for up to 20 percent off!!

I normally shop this sale with my work bestie, but this year, sadly I will be shopping alone. When I lived in Houston, the Rice Village Bluemercury was about a 10 minute drive from our offices in the medical center and we were known to spend our lunches there. Since I haven’t been to a Bluemercury since the pandemic hit, I’m definitely in need of a re-stock and this sale couldn’t come at a better time! Here’s what I’ll be buying…

Skin Ceuticals CE Ferulic, Skin Ceuticals Physical Fusion UV Defense SPF, Skin Ceuticals Phloretin CF, Skin Ceuticals Simply Clean Cleanser,
Skin Ceuticals Discoloration Defense, Skin Ceuticals Metacell Renewal B3, Skin Ceuticals Glycolic 10 Renew Overnight, Skin Ceuticals Equalizing Toner,
Skin Ceuticals Clarifying Clay Mask, Beauty Blender Cleanser, Beauty Blender, Caudalie Beauty Elixir, DryBar Prep Rally Spray,
Jo Malone Earl Grey and Cucumber Perfume, Jo Malone Orange Bitters Candle, DryBar Buttercup Blow Dryer, Kiehl’s Crème de Corps, Kiehl’s Blue Astringent

As you can see, my favorite skin care brand is SkinCeuticals. I started using SkinCeuticals about five years ago and it has totally transformed my skin. It is a bit of a splurge if you’ve been using over-the-counter products, but it is totally worth it. I’d recommend starting out with the CE Ferulic because it works for most skin types and it will really make your skin glow. I personally use all of the products I’ve listed on this page and will share a video on Instagram about how I use each item.

In addition to the Skinceuticals I’ll be stocking up on, I will also be loading up on my Kiehl’s body lotion…I use this twice a day all over my body and could not live without it. I also love the Kiehl’s Blue Astringent. My signature scent is the Jo Malone Earl Grey and Cucumber and am so happy I will be able to get it on sale. If you’re not familiar with this scent, it is so light and effervescent and makes you smell like you just left the spa.

Lafco Chamomile Lavender Candle, Lafco White Grapefruit Candle, Nars Blush, Nars Afterglow Lip Balm, Nars Eyeshadow, Supergoop! Play Everyday Sunscreen,
Tom Ford Foundation, Tom Ford Soleil Blanc Body Spray, Tom Ford Illuminating Primer

With the holidays coming up, you might want to take this opportunity to stock up on candles as gifts for your friends, because who doesn’t love a candle?! My favorite candles are from Lafco. I think the scents are beautiful, they burn well and I love the fun names they give each candle like Cabana and Penthouse.

I hardly ever wear makeup so I love buying it on sale when I have to. I love NARS for blush, eyeshadow and absolutely love the afterglow lip balm. For primer and foundation, my go-to is Tom Ford. I’ve been wearing it for years and makes me look airbrushed when I wear it.

Whether you’re stocking up on beauty essentials for yourself or buying gifts for friends and family, this sale is the best place you can spend your money this month! I usually stock up on my beauty favorites in December during this sale and again in June when they have their other sale so I don’t have to buy these items full price.

Happy shopping!!

I hope you all have enjoyed the gift guides this week! Is there anything you’re still looking for for yourself or your loved ones? Leave me a comment and let me know! Come back next week to see my gift guides for stocking stuffers! Hope you have a great weekend!
