Spring break and warmer weather are finally here! I don’t know about you, but I love going somewhere warm for spring break. It is the perfect time to hit refresh on your wardrobe and get ready for the warmer months ahead.
I have had this Eugenia Kim Mirabel Straw Hat for years and I absolutely love it! It is the perfect beach hat and the mint green ribbon complements so many different swimsuits and coverups.
Wherever you travel for spring break this year, I hope you have a wonderful trip!
Shopbop’s bi-annual Style Event sale is now live! This sale is a tiered event and gives buyers up to 25 percent off of their purchase using the code STYLE based on how much they spend. The Style Event is a great time to stock up on fall and winter favorites, Christmas presents and swimsuits for next year.
This fall, I am obsessed with sweater dresses and shearling shoes. I also *cannot* recommend these green cargo pants enough. I bought them in August and have worn them at least 25 times since then. They are great for travel, going out to eat, running errands, literally whatever! I get so many compliments on them when I go out and they are so comfy.
I know many of us are still wearing lounge sets so this sale is a great time to restock on those. I’m obsessed with these black lounge pants and love this grey set. This sweatshirt robe also just moved up to the top of my Christmas wishlist. On the opposite side of the fashion spectrum from loungewear is swimwear and now is a great time to buy for next season. So many Hunza G styles sell out buy March so I scooped up this adorable mint green one for next season!
I can’t believe we are finally going on a vacation this summer! Because of our housing drama, we were forced to cancel all of our trips this summer except for one…of course it is a golf trip, but regardless, I am excited to travel and get out of the Texas heat for a few days.
This weekend we will be going to Chicago for one night and Destination Kohler for a few days so my husband, dad and a couple of their friends can have a Ryder Cup Style golf tournament with one another. Thankfully, my mom and sweet Charlie are coming on the trip too. We plan to do an architecture river cruise and dinner in Chicago and lots of spa time, walking and water activities while we are in Kohler.
Since the vibe of this trip is relaxation and fun dinners, I’m bringing mostly casual clothes with a few fun pieces for our dinners. I am also so excited to read my new book, Golden Girl, written by the “queen of beach reads” Elin Hilderbrand. Of course we will be on the shores of Lake Michigan, but that counts as a beach, right?
Stay tuned next week for my travel guide to Chicago and Destination Kohler!
Hailey Bieber isn’t the only one loving lavender this summer! As one of the season’s hottest colors, it comes as no surprise that we are all loving the pastel tones of purple too. “Millennial purple,” as it has been dubbed by Hola! Is encompassing of the hues from lilac to lavender and has been a staple in my spring and summer wardrobes this year.
One of my favorite purple pieces has been this mini dress from English Factory because of its color and light-weight cotton fabric. The ruffle detailing on it is so beautiful and this dress also just got marked down to under $60! My only complaint about this dress is that it is a bit short. I am 5’8″ and it is shorter than most dresses I am comfortable in. This is a common theme for English Factory dresses…I just wish they would make a “tall” version or add about two inches to their dresses!
In the summertime, I am a sucker for dresses. Living in Texas, the heat can be overwhelming so having a light-weight dress is the most comfortable thing for me to wear. This beautiful wildflower dress is a must-have and is less than $50! I’m also loving this lavender midi dress from Sea. It would be perfect for church, brunch or a romantic date night.
I have worn this flowy maxi dress on repeat all summer! The subtle hints of lavender are beautiful and feminine which make it easy to dress up or down.
Whether you’ve been loving lavender, green, white or blue, I hope you’ve enjoyed this trip down the purple rabbit hole with me today! What has been your favorite color this summer?
We are heading back to one of my favorite places…Watercolor, Florida!! As many of you know, we love Watercolor and have been going there A LOT over the past year. I have been visiting this area for about a decade and my husband and his family have been going for pretty much his whole life. To get ready for my trip, I’m sharing my packing list!
This trip to Watercolor is even more exciting than usual because we’re not only going to enjoy the beach, but we also get to celebrate Easter with our friends at the Chapel at Seaside which is going to be so special.
For those of you who don’t know, Watercolor and Seaside are two communities that back up to one another along the iconic stretch of the beachside highway known as 30A. You can distinguish where you are in this area by the architecture. Seaside is known for having almost dollhouse looking homes painted in pinks, yellows, blues, greens and white and Watercolor is filled with larger homes mostly painted in whites, blues and greens. All of these towns are connected with bike paths so you never have to drive anywhere which I love.
The most beautiful beach.
The weather along the Florida panhandle is gorgeous during the month of April and it’s usually a lot less busy than spring break and the summer. Since the vibe in the area is casual chic, I’m packing mostly dresses and pastel-colored swimsuits. I never go to the beach without packing a few sunhats…I live for my Eugenia Kim hat and it is just amazing, but it is kind of a hassle to pack. If you’re flying or don’t want to deal with bringing a big hat, check out this foldable one I found for less than $10. I use it way more than my other hats and I get so many compliments on it.
Have you been to Watercolor or anywhere on 30A? What are your favorite things to do in the area?
Easter is just two weeks away! I love Easter because it symbolizes rebirth and it’s basically a pastel haven. Whether you celebrate at church or on the beach, I’m sharing my favorite Easter looks for this spring.
First and foremost, this pink SWF dress, y’all. I loved it for Valentine’s Day and I love it for Easter. It is so cute, comfortable and currently 25 percent off at Saks. I paired it with wedges and my favorite Pamela Munson bag, which makes an ideal look for a day time church service.
The amount of gorgeous pastel dresses this spring just has me so overwhelmed and happy. From pink to mint green and yellow polka dots, you will look stunning no matter where you celebrate your Easter Sunday. If you’re looking for a fun addition to an Easter egg hunt, check out these designer eggs from Haute and Cool.
All about the details. Paired my dress with wedges and a gorgeous woven bag…perfect for Easter.
How are you celebrating Easter this year? Will you be wearing any of my Easter looks? Leave me a comment and let me know!
Moda Operandi, the premier online retailer bringing trunk shows into the 21st century is having one of their biggest sales of the year! Some of the most-loved styles from this year are now 75 percent off.
This is one of my favorite sales from the whole year because Moda has some of the best and most unique designer pieces online. In my opinion, their selections are heads above their competition. The only problem for me is that sometimes their prices are too…so whenever they have a sale, I am all over it!
