Five Denim Styles I’m Loving for Spring

Five Denim Styles I’m Loving for Spring

Skinny Jeans are apparently out so I needed to look to some other styles for inspiration this spring. Although I’ve loved skinny jeans for more than a decade, I have to agree with my Gen Z friends that there are more flattering styles out there. From Straight leg to mini boot cut, I’m breaking down my five favorite styles for you to try in the denim world this season.

Last year, I fell in love with the Levi 501 jeans that everyone raves about. I’ve also branched out or back to loving flare jeans…I think Veronica Beard does them perfectly and you can get this spring wash for under $100! Mango makes really good jeans too. The washes are a little funky, but for $50 a pair, I think it’s ok to experiment a little.

Are you still wearing skinny jeans or have you too branched out with your denim style?! Leave me a comment and let me know!

Brit’s Birthday Dreams

Brit’s Birthday Dreams

Happy Monday, friends! I am so excited because it is officially just one week until my birthday! I know I’m probably too old to feel this way, but I love my birthday and get so excited for it every year. When I was little, I would actually start planning my next birthday immediately after my birthday party that year…it was a little over the top, but that’s who I am!

To kick off my birthday celebrations this year, I’ve created a birthday dreams wish list and decided to giveaway one of my favorite items on the list to one of my lucky followers…a Hill House bath robe! I love this robe because it is super luxurious and has a really fun neon trim around the edges. I have been wearing mine non-stop and can’t wait to give one away!

Blue Floral Dress, Alphabet Soup Bracelet, Chloé Sunglasses, Robe with Neon Trim, Jo Malone Earl Grey and Cucumber Perfume, Hermes Oran Sandals, Floral Pareo, Floral Bikini Top, Floral Bikini Bottom, Rose Prick Candle, Sleeper Feather Pajamas, Facial Steamer

How gorgeous is this robe?! One lucky winner will get one of their own!

What are your favorite birthday traditions? Leave me a comment and let me know!

Spring Style Under $100

Spring Style Under $100

Wow! After the coldest two weeks I’ve ever experienced in Texas, we escaped the frozen state for the sunshine of Arizona to see my parents. After weeks of wearing layers of leggings and sweats, I could not wait to bust out a few of my favorite dresses and soak up the heat. All of my styles for the trip were under $100 and perfect for Spring!

I have been living in this oversized sweatshirt dress during this trip. I’ve mostly paired it with my favorite Veja’s, but as the weather warms up a bit, it will be so cute with sandals too. The sage green color is so flattering and the silhouette is very forgiving. Whether you’re lounging at home, running to the store or out to lunch, this is a great piece to have and under $30.

Sage Green Sweatshirt Dress

What pairs better with a green dress than a green tea?

Another favorite for the trip was definitely this green midi dress from the Australian online retailer, Petal and Pup. I cannot tell you how many compliments I got on this dress and it was a steal at $70. During the trip I wore it with tennis shoes and sandals and it looks great both ways. I got this dress in an Australian size 6 and wish I would have gotten an 8 (I wear a US size 2 normally) so I would recommend sizing up with this brand. Scoop this one up before it’s sold out!

Are you wearing your spring clothes yet? I hope you all love these styles and that you’re getting some sunshine wherever you are!

What is it about fall that just makes you want to wear a hat and boots everywhere you go?! I’m not sure, but I do love this style and time of year! We FINALLY have cooler temperatures here in Austin and I have busted out all of my fall favorites!

Whether you’re going to an antique fair, a wedding or work, these chic fall staples should get you through the fall season in style! As if Golden Goose doesn’t do sneakers perfectly already, now they’ve gone and done boots perfectly too! They are a little pricey, but so good. I consider myself a bit of a grandmillenial gal and this dress from H&M is right up my alley. It does not come with a waist belt, but I highly suggest wearing one with this dress…it goes from grandmillienal to marm quickly without one. Luckily, you can grab this tan one for under $15. I paired this look with my go-to large envelope YSL bag and this stunning Eugenia Kim hat. You can add the beautiful sage green wrap coat for an extra layer if its chilly where you are!

If you’ve got a date night or wedding in your future, scoop up this sheer black dress before its gone! I paired it here with a stunning starry night clutch and black bejeweled mules that look exactly like the Jimmy Choo’s from last season, but for 10 percent of the price!

I have also been loving my Gotta Have Face mask chain that looks like Van Cleef & Arpels. It is so convenient to wear around my neck and really looks like a beautiful necklace rather than a chain.

Hope you all have a safe and happy Halloween Weekend!

It is feeling like fall here in Austin, y’all and I am here for it!! This was my first summer in Austin and I was shocked at how hot/unbearable it was! So of course when I got a whiff of this 65 degree weather, I jumped on my chance to try out some of my new fall clothes!

Although many thought the “modern prairie” trend would not last, I’m happy to report that it is here to stay. I love feminine dresses with long sleeves so if that makes me look like I’m from Little House on the Prairie, then I’m totally ok with that!

1. Green Sweater 2. Leopard Face Mask 3. Gold Face Mask Chain 4. Green Plaid Dress 5. Wooden Hoop Earrings 6. Roxanne Assoulian Bracelets 7. English Factory Sweater Dress 8. Vintage Denim 9. Louis Vuitton “On the Go” Look Alike 10. Grey Celine Nano Belt Bag 11. Golden Goose Western Boots 12. Gucci Loafers 13. Stutterheim Raincoat

I recently picked up this plaid green dress by Sister Jane and am so in love with it! The fabric is a bit heavier than I expected, but it is beautiful in person and really well made! I’ve paired it here with a pair of old Zara boots that have since sold out, but I’ve linked a similar pair here, and my grey Celine Belt Bag. If boots are too heavy for the climate you’re in right now, I would suggest wearing this dress with tan ballet flats or even slide sandals.

If you’re looking for a for a casual fall uniform, look no further than this combo! I’m a sucker for anything green so this Cupcakes and Cashmere Sweater speaks to me on so many levels! The simplicity of the sweater and classic Moussy jeans (currently on sale) leave a perfect opening for these amazing Gucci loafers! Will be running all of my errands in this look for the next few months! If you’re looking to add a little more color to your look, I would suggest this amazing set of blush-toned bracelets from Roxanne Assoulian, they are 80 percent off right now at Moda Operandi! I know Christmas is still a few months away, but if you have ladies you need to buy gifts for, these make a fabulous stocking stuffer!

I also love a good raincoat for fall and when I saw this beige beauty from Stutterheim I got all of the Julia Roberts vibes in Notting Hill!! I like this one particularly because of the weight and it is just effortlessly chic.

Which clothing items and trends are you most excited about for fall?! Leave me a comment and let me know! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and enjoy some nice fall weather!

Happy Friday from the mountains! I have had the best week exploring Montana and Utah and I’m not quite ready to go home. All though temperatures have been unusually high this week, the mornings are COLD!! This adorable tie dye sweatsuit from Amazon has been keeping me warm and cozy, not to mention cute!

1. Rose Mask 2. Jo Malone Earl Grey and Cucumber Perfume 3. Schutz Wrap Sandals 4. Tie Dye Sweatsuit 5. Free People Sweater 6. Roxanne Assoulin Bracelet 7. Cozy Cashmere Set 8. Dolce and Gabbana Wedges 9. Headband Holder

I have been in a cozy mood this summer and am loving the matching cashmere set from Nasty Gal as well as this amazing Free People bubble sweater that is on a major sale right now!

If you’re looking for cute summer sandals at a great price, check out the Schutz wrap sandals or the Dolce and Gabbana wedges! They are on sale right now and will go quickly.

I stocked up on my favorite scent this week from Jo Malone…Earl Grey and Cucumber! I wear this perfume every day and I love it because it is light and makes you smell like a spa! I also recently purchased a headband organizer from Amazon and I’m loving it! It has cleared up so much space on my dresser and I can actually see which headbands I have!

What are your favorite things this week?! Hope you all have the best weekend!!

Happy Friday, beautiful friends!! I am so excited for this weekend and for the fact that I finally have this bag!! I have been dreaming of buying a woven Bottega Veneta bag since last summer, but just couldn’t bring myself to spend more than $3,000!! on one. Luckily, I found a similar style on Amazon for 1 percent of the price of the real thing!! That’s right, this stunner is only $34! It comes in a bunch of colors, but I like this off-white color for summer.

This bag pairs perfectly with my new Banjanan dress that I’m wearing out for dinner tonight with my hubs! I am obsessed with this emerging brand. Caroline Weller, the founder and designer, worked on the design teams of Calvin Klein and J. Crew before moving to India and creating the bright, bold and beautiful, Banjanan. I’m wearing the Iris dress tonight and it is dreamy to say the least!

I think we all know by now that it is important to vote (major election year!!) so why not remind others in a cute way with this adorable Tory Burch T-shirt? I love it and plan to wear it even beyond the presidential election in November. I’m sure you’ve all seen this amazing lavender dress, by now, but if you haven’t, make sure you get one! It is the ultimate summer dress and SO feminine, I just love it!

I am also living for sets this year and I am so in love with the leopard print set by Ganni!! It is precious together or separately. I would definitely wear a white t-shirt with the shorts or black skinny jeans with the top. I would also love to pair it with these Chanel slides! Speaking of sets…who else loves a classic pajama set?! I sure do! I love this floral set by Ann Taylor and I love the price even more…it’s under $30!! Would be great for yourself or as a gift for a loved one.

If you’re like me and looking to sanitize and cleanse everything right now, check out this phone cleaner I found at Dilllard’s and diffuser from Amazon!

What are you loving this week? Leave me a comment and let me know! I hope you all have the best weekend!
